Hi everyone!! Firstly, I would like to lay down a very crucial point. This post is not to BRAG about myself, but it's ultimately a TRIBUTE to those who have sowed their tears and sweat to make 2008 another meaningful birthday year to remember....alright, let's cut to the chase
Firstly, on the eve of my birthday, I was innocently working on my poster project for biochemistry when my housemate, Kevin (also known as Kean Shyang) walked into my room and told me he's hungry at 12.00am sharp. Thursdays are usually late nights for him as he has classes till 10pm at night. I empathised with his plight and suggested some snacks or something. He walked off and suddenly "Happy birthday to you!" I was so shocked from the intrusion of my privacy that I tried hiding under my chair!!!!! That was only the beginning of my embarrassment.
After the late night celebration, my friends walked back to their homes. It was so kind for them to come and "shock me to the bottom of my chair" in the middle of the night. Alas, I thought that was the only surprise. I could have never been so wrong........
The next day, after uni ended, a bunch of us Biotech freaks went to have a scrumptous Malaysian dinner at Little Malaysia, West End. (By the way, I really recommend that restaurant if you want to enjoy authentic Malaysian delicacies.. I promise I earn no commission whatsoever from such subtle promotion of this place). Anyway, dinner was great and we came back to my place to have some ice cream. Again, how could I be so naive?? When they asked me to go to my room, I gullibly obeyed and fell into a trap of confetti's a balloons!!!!! Wow, they have turned my room into a decorative mess!!!!!!!Cool!!!!!!!
After that, I presented two songs for them. U don't want to hear me sing....
The next day, it was the time to celebrate with seniors and some other friends. We went to have dinner at Chinatown. Not a very good one but, who cares? It's the company of people that matters.
Overall, my 21st birthday was a blast! Thanks to two really dedicated and super organisers, Emilyn and Jessica F, everything worked out well since they preyed on my innocent and unsuspecting mind ( as usual). Good job everyone! :)
