It was ANZAC Day in Australia, a public holiday to commemorate Australians who had perished in Galipoli during World War 1. There was a memorial service at 4.30am in the city (but we didn't go...lazy to get up...hehe). But!! We went to the annual parade held in the city.
The procession was filled with many veterans and bands. Initially, it was fun and exciting as we had a chance to see how Aussies celebrate their patriots' contributions to the country. Well, the procession lasted for 2 hrs and we finally got bored of it.
One thing interesting though was the huge amount of horse stool on the roads. Horses were used in some of the processions and some of them didn't have the decency to hold on to their poop...And what's worse, the other participants of the parade had no choice but to STEP ON THE STOOL!!!Eww...Cars drove over it, humans stepped over it...Injustice was done on the horses' poop..hehe!
After the parade ended, we grabbed Nando's for lunch and headed back to college.
Parents, teachers, friends. All of you have led me to this stage
God alone deserves all glory!!
